KitchenPod is the brainchild of Matt Michel a Kitchen, Bathroom and Interior Designer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The idea was born out of a genuine need by some of his clients who were distressed about feeding their families for the duration of the renovation. After a search for a Temporary Kitchen for hire to help them out, no such thing existed anywhere in the world! Nobody wanted to risk being poisoned using the laundry sink, or wait until summer to rely on the BBQ or takeaway food every night. So having a Degree in Industrial Design, Matt developed a system using suitable standard appliances in a modular assembly that can be wheeled onto site whether an apartment or house and simple plug and play setup. After an initial prototype was developed in conjunction with some like-minded Cabinetmakers in 2014, many clients have enjoyed the convenience and affordability of Kitchenpod, from as little as 4 weeks right up to 11 months. A full Patent was awarded in 2018 and it is proudly Designed and Manufactured in Australia.

Matt Michel Design still continues to Design Kitchens, Bathrooms and Interiors all over Sydney, but now, with less stress during the renovation. Kitchenpod is available to other Designers and Architects, Kitchen Companies, Builders and their clients.
